NORTH VANCOUVER, BC, April 2, 2026 /CNW/ - Natural infrastructure improvements at Moodyville Park will strengthen stormwater management and enhance environmental quality after an investment of more than $249,000 from the federal government.
The project will restore the greenspace and support biodiversity by removing and managing invasive plant species, and by planting approximately 10,000 native, climate-resilient shrubs and nearly 1,300 trees. These measures will improve soil health, reinforce the urban forest, stabilize stream banks, and enhance habitat connectivity for migratory birds, native bats, and insect pollinators.
Once complete, the improvements will support the return of native species, strengthen wildlife corridors, and contribute to the long-term health, resilience, and sustainability of the local ecosystem.
